Bio-Cogen is a partnership between Effluence, a provider of anaerobic digestion technology, and Diamond Energy, providing a combination of electricity generation and retail electricity licensing.

Wet Waste :: Anaerobic Digestion

The Bio-Cogen solution utilises anaerobic digestion to proceess wet waste streams (putrescible) into biogas and then electrical and thermal energy. Wet waste feedstocks include:

• Abattoir waste
• Green waste (putrescible)
• Agricultural waste (manure)
• Sewage
• Putrescible municiple solid waste

Dry Waste :: Pyrolysis and Gasification

The Bio-Cogen solution utilises pyrolysis and gasification to proceess dry waste streams (carbonaceous) into syngas and then electrical and thermal energy. Dry waste feedstocks include:

• Carbonaceous green waste
• Carbonaceous municiple solid waste

As well as producing renewable energy, BIo-Cogen’s treatment process for wet and dry waste also produces valuable by-products including:
