[22/02/10] VFF Egg Group signs MoU with Bio-Cogen

The Victorian Farmers Federation (VFF) Egg Group has entered into discussions with Bio-Cogen Pty Ltd to explore the opportunities in designing, building, owning and operating a bio-energy plant to provide the Victorian egg industry with an environmentally friendly, cost effective and humane solution for the disposal of spent hens.

[20/08/09] 20% by 2020 gets through Senate!

Bio-Cogen is pleased that the legislation mandating the The Renewable Energy Target (RET) has now been passed.  The RET requires that Australia source 20% of it’s energy from renewable sources by 2020.  Biomass (waste-to-energy) is included in the technological mix that will contribute to reaching the target and Bio-Cogen is excited to be part of delivering a cleaner energy future to Australia.

[20/08/09] Boost to bioenergy investment expected

The Renewable Energy Target (RET) legislation is expected to pass through the Senate today and will be major boost to bioenergy in Australia, contributing to green careers and investment.

Bio-Cogen is currently working on a number of biomass waste-to-energy projects in Australia and is excited about the role bioenergy can play in meeting Australia’s renewable energy targets, while also providing a range of other environmental, social and economic benefits.
